Aitziber Salazar Lucas Goetz Daniel Roberts Attila Dabis
Co -Director and political adviser to the European Free Alliance 2004-2006.
Prior to joining EFA the party she was the EFA Youth co-ordinator at the European Parliament (10-2003/07-2004).
She previously worked as a parliamentary assistant for MEP Carlos Bautista (02-2002/07-2003 and was a trainee lawyer for a short period in her city, Seville. (2001).
Interested in youth issues, she worked as a teenager trainer (Seville, 1997-2000) and holds a training degree ("Insignia de Madera" school,1999). She organised several youth projects sponsored by the European Commission (1998- 1999) and was recently involved in a TOT on Ethnic conflicts and conflict management (Local Partners for Democracy, Budapest, 2004).
She holds a DES (MA) in Human Rights from the Saint Louis University Faculties (UCL, Brussels. 2003). After her Erasmus year at the University Robert Schumann in Strasbourg, she received a diploma in European, International and Comparative law (2000- 2001). In the same year she also had a trainee period as assistant at the EP. She received her law degree from the University of Seville (2001).
Jordi Eduard Perales was born in Barcelona in 1977 into a family of political refugees who had just returned to Catalonia from the exile in France at the time. He is a member of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya, and he is involved in its European Union and International Relations group and in the local section of La Garriga.
He holds a University degree in Political Science from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, specializing in International Relations. He also holds a Bch. Degree in Law for ESADE- Universitat Ramón Llull, where he completed two years of studies. Other specialization programmes include EU projects Management for the University of Barcelona and the office of the European Parliament in Barcelona, and a Chinese Language and Cultural Studies programme that he attended in the Capital Normal University of Beijing in cooperation with the State University of New York in Buffalo. He is currently studyinh for a PhD. in Information Society, New Technology and Political Changes for the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in cooperation with the Oxford University Internet Institute.
He has been professionally involved in political management since 2002, first as a Mayor's assistant at the Tagamanent Town Council, then as a Manager of the Federation of Catalan Gay, Bisexual and Lesbian Organizations. After leaving the federation and having started his studies about Far East Asia and Chinese culture, he was put in charge of the sales force of a Catalan transnational company related to the printing and design industry, Lamigraf SA, in the South Eastern Asia and Indian subcontinent region.
Being deeply interested in communication and culture, he is a member since 1999 of the team that broadcasts the political, cultural and comedy weekend radio magazine "Bon Rotllo" on Radio Sant Cugat, and vice president of the association Friends of the Radio in La Garriga. He is an activist of two associations that are fighting for Catalan culture, Plataforma per la Llengua and Acció Cultural del Pais Valencia. He is also a founding member of the Platform for the Memory-Remembering the Republic in La Garriga, and has been active in participative democracy groups at a local level.
Born in Truro (Cornwall) in 1961
For the last 25 years Davyth has been working for the protection and promotion of Europe’s ‘regional’, minority and endangered languages (RMLs), specialising in advocacy work in the European Parliament, the Commission, the Council of Europe, and the UN, as well as conducting various language planning and revitalisation projects.
Dr. Hicks completed his MSc and PhD in Celtic Studies at Edinburgh University, lecturing in the subject for seven years, prior to which he worked as a professional musician and journalist.
Davyth has been the first EFA Communications officer ever. He took this responsibility in September 2013 and was in office till a year after.
Jorgos worked for EFA as Communications officer between January 2015 and April 2017.
He finished the 29th Lyceum before enrolling at the Athens Technical University (major: Power Engineering) and the Antenna Media College, an affiliate of the London School of Journalism (major: Print & Electronic Media). Later on, he became an extraordinary Fellow (M.Sc) at the Institute of Communication Studies, University of Vienna. (field: Minority Media in the European Union).
He started his professional career from Antenna TV and Radio in Thessaloniki, Greece. His later professional assignments included work in various countries for numerous Greek, regional and international media such as the newspapers Express and Eleftherotypia, the Macedonian news portal MKD.mk, the Austrian Press Agency, Eurolang and many more.
His career in communications includes also working as spokesperson for the UNDP, private companies in Greece and abroad, extensive public relations engagements and advisory positions. He has also significant experience working with youth as the Executive Director of the Balkan Youth Foundation, a member of the Clinton Global Initiative.
Jorgos is a long-term activist for minority rights in Greece. Since 2000 he is member of EFA Rainbow, the political party of the Macedonian minority in Greece, and the Home of Macedonian Culture, having served as spokesperson and communication officer for both organisations as well as the Greek Member State Committee of the European Bureau of Lesser Used Languages (EBLUL).
He is currently member of the collective presidency of EFA Rainbow and columnist for the minority newspapers “Nova Zora” (Macedonian) and “Trakyanin Sesi” (Turkish).
He is also a founding member of SEEMO, the leading media freedom watchdog in South, Central and Eastern Europe, having served as a Board member and Special Advisor to the Secretary General.
Juan Elías Vergara Míguez was born in Padrenda (Galicia) in 1982. At the age of 20 he decided to join Bloque Nacionalista Galego (BNG) lists in his hometown and one year later the organization.He started his career in the EU affairs area working for Fundación Galicia Europa, the representation of Galicia before the EU institutions. During the last years he has worked both in his country and in Brussels, in the official institutions (EU Parliament as an intern for EFA MEP Oriol Junqueras) and in public and private organizations within the EU affairs sector. Juan is a long-term activist for the normalization of Galician language and member of several cultural associations. He writes regularly on international and EU affairs in Galician websites. He was replacing Eva Bidania during her maternity leave (August 2015-February 2016)

Dejana Djurdjevic was born in 1991 in Novi Sad, Vojvodina. At the age of 24 she started working as a teaching assistant and was an active Board member of the Geographical Society of Montenegro.
She grew up in a multiethnic environment and was raised to cherish all the diversities of Vojvodina. For that reason, she decided to join the Ligue of Social democrats of Vojvodina (LSV) at the age of 25. Since then, Dejana has been an active member of a Political and Environmental Protection Board. Dejana is also a member of an NGO entitled Initiative for Sustainable Development.
Before her internship with EFA, she completed a specialized program for the management of regional development through EU funds. This offered her a chance to be involved in EU and National Funding projects relevant to the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
Dejana holds a Master degree in Geography and is currently in her first year of PhD Studies, where she focuses on regional geography. She also writes publications and conference papers on environmental protection.
Nature is a very important part of her life. Her favorite things are hiking and dogs. Dejana’s wish is to become an active politician in Regional Government.

Adrian Fuentes Arevalo was born in 1994 in Bilbao (Basque Country). After high school, he decided to move abroad for his university studies, and graduated from a BA International Relations at Queen Mary, University of London, where he focused on regionalism and supra-national entities, writing a dissertation on regionalism in the Southern Cone.
His main interests are history, politics, travelling and learning about new cultures; these also being the main reasons for Adrian’s interest in languages, as he can currently speak five languages, apart from his native tongue (Spanish). Having been born in the Basque Country, politics were always present, but since his late-teenage years he started to feel the need to take part in politics, in favour of a democratic and peaceful process of self-determination in Euskal Herria. That is why after university, he went back home, and started taking part in active politics, both in Eusko Alkartasuna, and its youth branch Gazte Abertzaleak. He has served in the bureau of GA, as well as in EFAy’s bureau.
The internship at EFA was a greatly enriching period, were he had the chance to learn about politics in the heart of the EU and also about the management of a political party. He has very positive memories about those months, where he felt really encouraged to be part of EFA’s staff.

Macéj was born in 1992 and comes from Pomerania. He has been a member of Kaszëbskô Jednota for over 4 years.
He hold a Bachelor's degree in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Gdansk and currently studying Linguistics in Leiden, Netherlands.
He has worked for over two years for the public Radio Gdansk where he was responsible for radio programmes in Kashubian. He is also the editor-in-chief of the Skra Magazine.

Attila Dabis is a Hungarian political scientist and public figure. Since 2012 he has been the Foreign Affairs Commissioner of the Szekler National Council. In this capacity his main task is to establish and maintain relations with the political-, and cultural organizations of other national communities, as well as to inform the various international organizations on Romania’s conduct towards implementing international obligations on minority protection. He is also a PhD student at the International Relations Doctoral School of the Corvinus University of Budapest. His research revolves around European regionalism, the functioning of autonomies, and minority conflicts. He publishes his works in Hungarian, English, and German languages.

grew up in Conwy, in north Wales. In 2012 he began his degree at Cardiff University, where he studied BA History and Economics, graduating with a 2:1. During his time at university he was very active with the local branch of Plaid Cymru. In November 2014 he became the part-time Cardiff organiser for Plaid, a job he completed alongside his studies. Alongside his work in Cardiff, Daniel has been active working for Plaid Cymru Ifanc, the youth wing of Plaid Cymru. He has served many roles on the National Executive Committee, including as representative of the Cardiff branch, the Director of Campaigns and Policy, and the Membership Officer.

and a Master's degree in Social Sciences, concretely on Political Sciences and International Studies, specialized in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Uppsala University.

Mateusz was born in 1985 in Tarnowskie Góry in Silesia, Poland. He holds both a Bachelor's degree on European Studies and a Master's degree in Political Sciences from the University of Opole. Since 2008 he has been an active member of RÀS, the Silesian Autonomy Movement, its primary interests lie in spreading the idea of autonomy and the protection of local identity, culture and language in Silesia as well as in all other European nations and regions.

Olrik was born in 1985 in Joure in Fryslân, the Netherlands. He holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in International and European Law from the University of Groningen, and he studied one semester abroad at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. His primary interests lie in minority and indigenous rights.
Since 2005 Olrik is involved in the Fryske Nasjonale Partij (FNP) where he has hold different positions such as board member of the municipal division of the FNP in Skarsterlân.
8th Internship Stage 2011-2012
Roeland was born in 1984 in Hasselt, a Flemish city. At Leuven University he gained a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in anthropology. A year of working and travelling in Southeast Asia stimulated his interests in international politics. He obtained another master’s degree in this field, writing a thesis on development cooperation by sub-national authorities.
Roeland started working as a researcher on a project about children with disabilities and their leisure opportunities. When the project finished, his interest in international affairs resulted in an application for EFA internship.
6th Internship Stage 2009-2010
Alessia was born in Sardinia, Italy in 1984. She graduated at high school with an essay about the identity-building process in Sardinia, where the Partito Sardo d'Azione (one of the EFA's parties) played a fundamental role. She went on to graduate at the University of Trieste in Diplomatic and International Sciences. Her topic thesis was about the role of the regions in the European Union. She afterwards enrolled on a Master's degree in the same University, and made a thesis about the approach of the European Union towards the Mediterranean region.
She had the opportunity to live in Barcelona for nine months, thanks to the Erasmus programme and afterwards she traineed for the European Movement Ireland, in Dublin, before applying for the EFA internship.
5th Internship Stage 2008-2009
Gael was born in 1984.. He worked on the market for six years while studying:, first literature in Nantes, and then geography in the South Brittany's University in Lorient. During his study, he participated in trainings especially on transport subjects (urban transport, railway, maritime transport). After he studied a Master's degree of landscape planning, as he would like to work for a progressive and constructive society project.
Gael is member of the Briton's Democratic Union (UDB), he has also been in charge of other actions in Brittany, for instance, he organised in 2005 a meeting on the Project of the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe.
4th Internship Stage 2007-2008
David was born in 1981 in Melbourne, Australia. He studied politics at the University of Melbourne before pursuing a Master's degree in European Studies at the University of Graz, Austria. It was during post-graduate study that David specialised in European integration and regionalism. His thesis topic was on the relationship between kin-states and kin-minorities.
David has a keen interest in human rights and minority issues. He is involved with the European Free Alliance - Rainbow working both as an activist and adviser.
3rd Internship Stage 2006-2007
Andreas was born in 1982 in Marienhamn, Åland. At Örebro University (Sweden) he gained a bachelor’s degree in European and International law. Active member of the Ålands Framtid EFA party and speaker of Swedish, English, French, German and Finish, he worked part-time in several companies such as the Bank of Åland before his application for the EFA internship.

Reinhild is committed to the youth organisation of Union für Südtirol - Junge Union - by organising meetings and actions, sending press releases and organising press conferences.
During the internship in EFA she was in charge of communication, responsible for the website, external relations, relations with the press and the member parties.
