FIRST EFA NEWSLETTER:

This first edition of the EFA newsletter is dedicated to all our parties. We form all together, for the first time, a European Political Party (EPP) and we are happy to celebrate the first six months of official functioning with this Newsletter. As EFA President, I would like to thank all our members. Without their help nothing of this would have been possible. From these e-pages I would like to emphasize the priceless work made by the EFA staff at the European Parliament during the past years.

We face now a new period full of challenges. Likely, in the coming months, EFA’s family will become even bigger. More and more parties and organisations as well as individuals are getting interested in the actions of our party. EFA, as Europe, is growing. We have a lot to offer to Europe with our nearly 25 years of experience as a Federation of parties. Our main goal is getting the right of Europe’s regions and nations fully recognised and respected. Moreover we stress the importance of the diversity of languages and, the richness of cultures. We want the European Union to satisfy our citizens and peoples, to make them glad to be part of this unique peace project in the world. The peoples of the regions and nations of the EU are part of this project and we will work to achieve all these goals together with the other European Political Parties.

Nevertheless, we still have a great deal of work to achieve it. We wish to keep working as closely as possible with all our members, with all of you and I invite you to follow this sometimes steep path all together, united in diversity.

Nelly Maes, President of EFA.
